Natural Jute Fibres

• Vacuum regularly to remove dirt, dust, and debris. Use a vacuum with a brush attachment to gently loosen and remove particles among the fibres. Vacuum in different directions to ensure thorough cleaning.

• Natural fibres can be damaged by excessive moisture. Avoid using water or steam cleaners on them. If a spill occurs, blot it immediately with a clean, dry cloth or paper towel to absorb as much liquid as possible. Avoid rubbing the spot, as this can push the stain deeper into the fibres.

• For stubborn stains, mix a small amount of mild detergent with water. Dampen a cloth with the solution and gently blot the stain. Rinse the area with a clean, damp cloth to remove any soap residue, then blot dry.

• Rotate your pieces every few months to ensure even wear and exposure to sunlight. Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can cause fading and weakening of the fibres. Place your pieces in an area with indirect sunlight, or use window treatments to block harsh UV rays.

• If you notice any fraying or loose fibres, trim them carefully with scissors. Do not pull on loose fibres, as this can cause further damage.

• If you need to store your rug, roll it up rather than folding it to prevent creases. Store it in a dry, cool place to protect it from moisture and pests. Consider using a breathable fabric cover to keep dust and dirt off the rug while it’s in storage.
