• Clean your teak furniture regularly with a soft brush or cloth and mild soapy water to remove dirt and dust. Rinse with clean water and let it dry completely. This helps maintain the natural beauty and prevent dirt buildup.

• Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, as they can damage the natural oils in the wood and affect its finish. Stick to gentle, eco-friendly cleaning solutions.

• Teak is naturally resistant to stains, but it is still a good idea to use coasters, placemats, or tablecloths to protect surfaces from food and drink spills. Wipe up any spills immediately to prevent staining.

• Every six months, especially if the furniture is exposed to the sun, apply teak/lemon oil or a sealant available from hardware stores. This will help to maintain the warm golden color of teak and prevent it from weathering to a silver-gray patina, unless an aged look is preferred.

• Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can cause the wood to fade and dry out. If possible, position your furniture in a shaded area or use covers to protect it from intense sunlight.

• If your teak furniture is placed outdoors, consider using covers during extreme weather conditions or storing it indoors during wetter months. While teak is durable and weather-resistant, it can still benefit from protection against harsh elements.
