• The entire basket is machine washable. For best results, place it in a large mesh laundry bag or pillowcase to protect the handles and tassel, and wash on a gentle cycle in cold water with a mild detergent.

• Do not bleach, and skip the fabric softener, which can leave the rope limp.

• Reshape while damp, then air dry completely in a shaded, well-ventilated spot before use. Stuffing the basket with towels while it dries helps it hold its form.

• Avoid tumble drying, as high heat may cause shrinkage or loss of shape.

• Between washes, shake out dust or go over the coils with a vacuum brush attachment. Small marks can be spot cleaned with a damp cloth and a drop of mild soap.

• Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight may cause the colours to fade. Place your basket away from harsh afternoon sun.

• If you notice a loose thread, trim it carefully with scissors rather than pulling it.
